How it Works
The Heliscreen® is a simple, powered screen that uses a semi-cylindrical stainless steel perforated plate on the sanitary side of the overflow weir, effectively keeping all matter greater than 6 mm in the continuation flow to the wastewater treatment facility.

When the water level reaches a predetermined level the rotating helical brush mechanism is initiated. This ensures debris is brushed from the screen face and carried away with the continuation flows.

An important benefit is the ability of the screen to operate in a totally flooded chamber when continuation and/or spill flow pipes are surcharged.

Typical Design Loading Rate: 350 l/s/m2.
