In-house Testing Facilities
In addition to HRD’s field testing and external validation,
the Hydro International Group operates two dedicated Research
and Development Centres with well equipped laboratories
in the UK and US.
Hydro International's advanced testing facility in Portland,
Maine in the US allows full-scale testing to be performed
under controlled conditions. The UK facility includes a
number of hydraulic test apparatuses, including a purpose
designed flow regulator test facility.
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
In recent years, we have developed considerable expertise
in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation. This ability
to mathematically model flow fields and assess device characteristics
is enabling rapid prototyping, thereby shortening product
development cycles, and improving the quality of outputs.
