These samples are analyzed to assess the settling velocity characteristics of the influent. This data is then entered into an in-house design program, which can accurately predict achievable removal rates based upon removal by gravitational forces alone.

Chemical jar testing can be utilized to assess performance on sites where chemicals are to be added to enhance removal rates.
