Grit Classifier (Series 3)
The Grit Classifier (Series 3) is generally manufactured from stainless steel grade 304L or grade 316L. Comprising of a hopper with an inlet pipe, an internal weir and outlet pipes and drain down valve, inclined trough with an Archimedean Screw arrangement driven by an electronic motor and gearbox. There is no bearing within the classifier. The mixture of grit and effluent is fed directly into the grit classifier through the inlet box and diverted into the trough. The grit is deposited on the bottom of the trough and transported up the inclined Archimedean Screw and discharged at high level through the grit outlet.

Maximum flow to the Grit Classifier (Series 3) is 10 l/s.
