Swirl-Flo® Process Maintenance
Maintenance requirements are site-specific as there are many possible variations of the Swirl-Flo® Process.

For example, the Swirl-Flo® Process can consist of ;

  • A single Swirl-Flo® Separator in which both the inflow and underflow are gravitated.
  • A dual vessel installation in which the main Swirl-Flo® Separator is preceded by a smaller hydrodynamic separator which is used to inject chemicals and to provide contact time.
For larger units, mechanical scrapers are sometimes used at the base of the main separator vessel. This is dependant upon the size of the unit in question and the range of inflow rates designed to be encountered. Testing can be utilised to assess performance on sites where chemicals are to be added to enhance removal rates.
